Jonti
Anne Geddes is delighted to announce the fourth image to be released for sale online
from her collection of fine art Limited Edition Prints.
Jonti (also published as
Jonti as an Angel) is the first of Anne's angel images to be released as a Limited Edition Print and has been unveiled for the New Year of 2010. The symbolic presence of the angel is expressed by Anne in this image through the gentle strength of the carved stone angel, juxtaposed with the delicate vulnerability of the newborn baby.

Jonti was fourteen days old, and had already been in for a shoot prior to this. She was just so delicate and tiny
and she was the obvious choice for this image. Once I placed her into the hands, she just seemed
to melt into the spot and then lie there with her little mouth open.

- Anne Geddes |
Jonti was photographed in 1996 when Anne was doing a series of images exploring the theme of angels. In some publications Jonti has been reproduced with a slight warm sepia tone, however as a Limited Edition Print Anne decided to do it as a neutral black and white to enhance the qualities of the stone angel.
